Happy Friday.

Well, it's Friday. Just when you think the weekend has flown by, the week is over. Got a lot of snow yesterday...apparently there's another storm coming Monday/Tuesday. No matter how much we dream/wish/pray, however, Penn State will not cancel classes and the only thing the snow will do is get our cute shoes dirty. Eww.

Here's some songs to download:

Robbers on High Street - Spanish Teeth
Tupac - Don't You Trust Me
The Kleptones - Jayout
Frou Frou - Let Go (for Jane)
Postal Service - The District Sleeps Alone Tonight

Well, since Gran Turismo 4 came out and I've been doing a lot of playing/watching, I thought I would include some pics of some sick cars. Enjoy. Happy Friday.

Stretch Bentley Phantom from Autoblog.

The following pics are from MotorSport.com.

Cool pic.

Classy, attractive, and intelligent.

Perfect role model for little girls everywhere.

She brings so much talent to the entertainment world.

I could go on forever...it's just so easy to make fun of someone like her, but I think South Park did a good enough job with Stupid Spoiled Whore.

Anyway, somehow Paris's T-Mobile Sidekick (she's in the commercial, too!) got hacked by someone, completely exposing her A-list address book and personal notes to the whole internet. (I thought she liked being exposed.) It's good stuff, though. This site does a great job covering the incident.

Some highlights:

Vin Diesel 310-279-6312
Luke Wilson 310-903-0500

And so many more...

I could definitely find myself drinking a little and calling Ashlee Simpson and reminding her that she's got absolutely no talent.

But really, these people probably have already changed their numbers by now. My new fave DJ, Samantha Ronson, isn't too thrilled.

Karma...

R.I.P. Dr. Hunter S. Thompson

One of the greatest and unique minds took his life at the age of 67 yesterday, February 20, in his home near Aspen. He died from a gun-shot wound to the head and was found soon after by his son, Juan. His wife had left the house just before the death. It is not yet known if a note was found, however his death was said to be preplanned after his recent severe health problems including a broken leg and hip replacement. Being a lover of guns, his wish was always to have his remains blasted out of a cannon after his death. It is not yet known if this will take place.

Thompson was best known for his type of journalism described by himself as "gonzo journalism," where the writer makes themselves a large part of the story. Many remember him as the author of the book and popular movie Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. This story was written in 1972 about a crazy trip Thompson had taken to Las Vegas involving the use of many intoxicants.

Here are some links to remember him by:

Buy some books

Great site on everything HST.

The most recent article he wrote for Rolling Stone magazine, on the 2004 election.

A neat article by Salon.com on HST including sound clips.

Another article, less formal, more enertaining, than the one above.

Pictures of HST.

"america...just a nation of two hundred million used car salesmen with all the money we need to buy guns and no qualms about killing anybody else in the world who tries to make us uncomfortable"

"i hate to advocate drugs, alcohol, violence, or insanity to anyone, but they've always worked for me"

"the edge...there is no honest way to explain it because the only people who really know where it is are the ones who have gone over"

rest in peace.

I love Fridays...what would the week be without them?

Anyway...it's THON weekend here at Penn State so I must say check out the THON website and donate some money to help kids.

Isn't Jon Stewart the shit? Check out the Daily Show website. Good stuff. Of course, my favorite is Lewis Black and his Back in Black segment.

Yeah, so they still make pump shoes. People like them?

My uncle happened to write a really sweet article for a website and my sister sent it to me so i thought i would post it on here. Check it out. Mothering magazine?

So you know how the whole Janet Jackson boob incident happened last year and ever since no one has been able to get away with anything on TV? Well kids, if you want to see all the bad stuff you shouldn't see, the anti-violence/sex/anything fun on tv group Parent's Television Council has compiled all the video tapes in one location. Just so you can get everything you "shouldn't" be seeing in one place. Good stuff. Really, you can go on this site and hear, read, and see everything you...shouldn't...see/hear/read? I'm confused...

Just wanted to let you know how bad ass Dale Earnhardt's new car is compared to his old one. Number 8 for those who don't know...

Well, lots of work to do this weekend so I might be posting sometime. In the meantime...download some music...(il)legally of course! :)

Top 5 for today:

Young Buck - Thou Shall
Notorious BIG - Notorious Thugs
Handsome Boy Modeling School - I've Been Thinking
Jamiroquai - Canned Heat (so you can dance like Napolean)
Long Beach Dub All-Stars - Kick Down

'kick down is what they talk bout today, you're in my arena but you don't wanna play, it's how you move and not what you say, when the cat's away the mice will play'

Peace.

fun links...that's it and that's all

Happy valentines everyone. It's a great day! Unfortunately, however, it decided to snow in State College all day. We sorta get used to it though, since it snows practically every day here.

Anyway, found some cool links and have some good songs to download and put you in a good mood. Check 'em out.

Rotating mask illusion. Crazy!

Amazing. College guys who have a lot of time on their hands=crazy drinking contraptions.

So, did anyone watch the PBS series Ghostwriter when they were younger? I forget when it was on, maybe different for everybody, but around my town i think it was Sunday evenings. An hour long show about a bunch of multicultural kids from New York City who solve crimes with the help of an invisible-ghostlike helper who can read words. Yes...bizzare. Anyway...anyone watching the Philly Real World season on MTV might recognize Willy as Hector from Ghostwriter. Crazy. Just when you wonder what happened to stars from your younger years, you realize that your life is more interesting than theirs at this moment.

Cool Real World link about the houses they live in.

Wanna be on Real World?

And here's reality tv for moms who like to get wasted. odd? yes.

5 songs to play for your valentine:

Jets to Brazil - Sweet Avenue
Azure Ray - New Resolution
Pantera - This Love
John Mayer - Your Body Is a Wonderland
The Cure - Love Song

If you've got a valentine...enjoy these tunes with them. If not, burn them to a cd and find a valentine and give it to them. They'll appreciate it. No matter what...enjoy the holiday! It's my favorite. Love is in the air... <3

I miss the summertime...

Well, after a short weekend, i'm back at classes. Went out to dinner with my man friday night and hit up a few bars on the way home...a lil Skellar, Zenos, and Cafe. Walked in the Gaff at like 9 PM and NO ONE was there. Maybe like 5 people standing around the bar thinking about where they're headed. What's the point of a bar if there isn't one person there? We can drink and play foos at home by ourselves.

so, the eagles lost. damn. don't have much to say about this one, i'm kinda disappointed though. maybe next year. but, i guess we've been saying that for the last 4. if someone could just beat the pats...that might bring me some closure. oh well.

anyway...for music...here's the five songs on rotation this week, or this moment since my taste changes so rapidly.

Mocky - How Will I Know You
Death Cab for Cutie - Title and Registration (original version, good luck finding)
Ace of Space - Paul Glazby Mix
DJ Shadow vs. Keane - We Might As Well Be Strangers (DJ Shadow remix)
Jack Johnson - Sitting, Waiting, Wishing

Also, if you haven't already, you must check out Garden State. First see the movie (reminded me of a long, beautiful, emotional music video) then get the soundtrack. God's gift to entertainment. It puts me in the best mood, except maybe when the commodore's once, twice, three times a lady starts playing. anyway...that's a must check out.

Another day...

here's some fun stuff to check out...

Five must downloads for today:

Trick Daddy - Down With the South
Mark Farina - Dream Machine
Diplo - Diplo Rhythm
TV on the Radio - Young Liars
Apeanaut - Dem Girls Remix

Still searching for a destination for spring break? Check out the awesome last minute deals on this site. Travel Zoo.

Funny shit about Michael Jackson.

Crazy basketball shot. With video.

Cool blog of the day: BEATS and RANTS 2.2

Toronto CREAM Team is pretty fun too.

And catchdubs.

The blog search engine's results for mp3 blogs.

All kinds of mp3 blogs...monkey filter

Stylus magazine's try at the mp3 blog.

WOEBOT's top 10 mp3 blogs.

Different kitchen.

Make your own south park character. hee hee
Well that's it for today. I'm tired. Peace

So wondering around blogs this morning I came across a new one, Beer and Rap. Not only did his story about getting his truck stolen really enertain me, but then I came across this great list of rules for men.

16. Saying beer is "icky" is against man rules, and so is not drinking beer. If you're sober its cool, but if its because you prefer margaritas its not cool at all

Good stuff. Anyway, his site's really fun, check it out.

Banned Superbowl commercial...made me laugh. Thanks to CollegeHumor.com.
